Welcome to The Lockdown Lodge – a vibrant three-week pop-up restaurant set beside Hambleden Lock, just outside Henley-on-Thames.
The Lockdown Lodge was founded by 19-year-old Minna Hughes after her gap-year travels were unexpectedly cancelled. Inspired by her grandfather’s motto, “there’s no such word as can’t,” she turned disappointment into opportunity – and The Lockdown Lodge was born.
Over the years it has become a place for people to gather, switch off and slow down and it wouldn’t have been possible without the community that has grown up with us. It is something we are immensely grateful for!
Access is by boat, bike or foot.
We are a 10 minute stroll across
Hambleden Weir from Mill End Car Park, or a very pleasant 45 minute walk
along the River Thames from Henley Bridge.
